Objectives :-

1. Good Hearing to all by MJPJAY Scheme / Ayushman Bharat patients.

2. To provide best academic environment for undergraduate teaching.

3. To act as tertiary care centre.

4. Guidance to patients regarding cancer and hearing loss and it preventive measures.

5. To make this Department 1st choice of patient in community specially the under privileged class.

Services :-

        The Department provides both OPD and indoor services. Besides management of ENT and head and neck pathology, the ENT OPD has facilities for Diagnostic Otoendoscopy and nasal endoscopy. Among indoor services, the trained staff performs ear surgeries for deafness, surgeries for cosmetic and functional problems of the nose, surgery for head and neck ailments, cancer and facial trauma. The Department has facilities for endoscopy, functional endoscopic sinus surgery (FESS), laryngoscopy, esophagoscopy and bronchoscopy.

• Myringotomy

• Myringotomy and grommet insertion

• Myringoplasty

• Tympanoplasty

• Cortical Mastoidectomy

• Modified Radical Mastoidectomy

• Posterior Tympanotomy

Endoscopic sinus surgery

• Limited disease

• Extensive disease/ Pansinusits

• AFRS

• Nasal polyposis

• Benign tumors of the nose

• Nasal and Paranasal malignancy

• Endoscopic Dacrocystorhinostomy (DCR)

Larynx

• Micro Laryngoscopy for benign laryngeal conditions such as vocal cord cysts, polyps

• Recurrent respiratory paplliomatosis

Head and Neck

• Tumors of the lip, buccal mucosa, alveolus, floor of mouth, tongue, Larynx, paranasal sinuses, temporal bone

• Benign neck swellings including brachial cysts, submandibular gland, parotid gland

• Thyroid surgery

Salient features (1) Section /divisions/branches :

1. O.P.D.:-HOD Room, Asso. Prof. / Reader Room, Asst. Prof. /Lecture Room, S. R. Room, Waiting / Reception Space, Four Exam Cubicles, Dressing Room, Demo Room, Soundproof Audiometry, Speech Therapy Room.

2. O.T.:-Surgeries on two tables can be taken up simultaneously.

3. Ward:-10 bedded ward, Nursing station / Nurse duty, Treatment Room, Ward Pantry, Store Room for linen and other equipment, Resident Doctors & Students duty Room, Clinical Demonstration Room

4. Specialty clinics:-The Department also runs Speciality Clinics for Allergy, Tumor, Audiology, Vertigo and has facilities for Speech therapy and evaluation.
