Anatomy Museum

The department houses a well-equipped Anatomy Museum containing embryological models, gross anatomy models, mounted specimens, osteological specimens, X-rays, CT scan images, and other teaching-learning resources. The museum serves as an important learning center for undergraduate and postgraduate students.

Bone Library

A comprehensive Bone Library is available for students to facilitate self-directed learning and practical study of human osteology

The department provides embalming and preservation services for bodies intended for transportation and educational purposes, ensuring adherence to ethical and professional standards.

1. Body Donation Awareness Activities

The department regularly conducts awareness programmes regarding body donation through educational campaigns and advertisements in local newspapers and other media platforms.

2. Embalming Services

As a social service initiative, the department provides embalming facilities for preservation and transportation of bodies to various destinations.

3. Cadaveric Skills Laboratory

Soft-embalmed cadavers are made available for cadaveric workshops and surgical skill enhancement programmes, helping trainee doctors and surgeons improve their practical competencies.

4. Upcoming Advanced Anatomy Museum

The department is in the process of developing an Advanced Anatomy Museum with modern educational exhibits and enhanced learning resources.

  • Till date, the department has received 180 body donations.
  • During the year 2025, a total of 21 body donations were received.
  • The increasing number of donated bodies has significantly strengthened anatomical teaching, training, and research activities.
