Special Features Unique to the Department

1. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) workshops are conducted regularly.
2. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) workshops are conducted periodically.
3. Hands-on airway management and difficult airway workshops are organized for healthcare professionals.

Community Services Provided by the Department

2. Free anaesthesia awareness and perioperative counselling programmes are conducted.
3. Participation in health camps and emergency medical services.
4. Community education programmes on first aid, CPR, and patient safety.

Facility for Students

1. Research work is assisted for technical expertise.
2. Guidance is provided by senior faculty members for research and academic activities.
3. For statistical analysis guidance is provided by statistician from dept. of community medicine.
4. Guidance for publication of research work is provided by senior faculty members.
5. Assistance is provided for presenting research papers at conferences, CME’s and workshops.
6. Central and departmental library facility with adequate number of book and journals with internet facilities is available.
7. Computers & LCD projector and audiovisual facilities are available for academics.
8. A well-equipped Skill laboratory for the student to practice CPR,airway management and other procedures.
9. All difficult airway gadgets (video laryngoscope,intubating fiber-opticscope) available for students to learn airway management.
10. High end anaesthesia workstation and monitors, stimuplex (Nerve stimulator),sonography machine and C-arm facility to learn balanced anaesthesia and nerve blocks.
11. Radio frequency Ablation machine for pain clinic.

Facilities for Staff are available as Per MCI norms-special leave is granted to PG students and faculty for attending conference and educational trips or fellowships.
